Bad AI
What is Bad AI?
Some people are fearful with new technologies that are unknown to them. AI may be popular and welcoming for the techies and innovators but for the average American, they may not understand what AI entails or how AI will impact them.
Reservations brought about fear and resistance, which is normal. AI, in the wrong hands, can be misused for a variety of misdeeds, such as:
Deep fakes (impersonation)
Lies
Misleading answers or information
Misbehaving robots assaulting humans
Misbehaving robots refusing human orders
Replacement of certain human jobs
etc.,
Extreme cases such as citing alienation of the human race or extinction of human civilization sounds alarming and can cause panic.
It is the mission of the SAFE AI Foundation to promote the public understanding of Good AI and give insights into how Bad AI can be contained, mitigated through Malicious-AI defense mechanisms, ethical and responsible AI policy and practices, comprehensive AI governance, regulations, etc.
