What is Good AI?

Good AI causes no fear nor harm to humans. Rather, they can significantly enhance our quality of life and improve the efficiency and productivity of our work.

AI has a long history but with the invention of new algorithms and methods and the rapid increase in computation power of today's GPU (graphics processing units) and presence of cloud and data centers, more can be achieved by AI today that wasn't viewed to be possible years ago.

From image recognition, voice recognition to ChatGPT, AI has started to penetrate the various pockets of our daily lives. We have entered the "Golden Age of AI".

Applications

Good AI has many appealing applications that benefit us at work and also at home.

It can improve on the medical diagnosis of our illness and warn us early before we even fall sick. Predictive and precision medicine will greatly improve our health never before possible.

Weather data computations can be performed at large scale and quickly, providing us better accuracy on what is coming, be it storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, or even pollution.

At work, GenAI can create digital content, voice and video content, and even write novels and compose music. AI can now write code, navigate web pages, perform airline or hotel reservations through ChatGPT, etc. Enormous capability and features are now unleashed.

Finally, at home, AI finds its way in home robots for kids, elderly, and for the family. Robots can perform house errands, house cleaning, keep kids entertained, and be a companion for the elderly when they are alone. Robots are also used to safeguard a house when owners are away.

All these and many more are what Good AI can bring us, now and in the future.
